Earthquake details

An earthquake of magnitude M6.4 hit Croatia, 47 km South-East of Zagreb, near Petrinja, on December 29th 2019 at 11h19 UTC (12h19 in local time). More information on the main shock is available here.

At the time of this report, a lot of buildings are damaged and local authorities report 7 victims and more than 20 people were injured .

More than 291 earthquakes has been recorded within 6 days and the majority of them has been felt by the population. This sequence is close to a sequence on March 2020 where an M5.4 earthquake strikes near Zagreb on 2020-03-22 at 05:24:02.8 UTC (info) followed by more than 17 aftershocks.
